Quala and Boasso Global Acquires Mainport Tankcleaning and Services

Quala and Boasso Global, a leading provider of Cleaning, Maintenance, Storage, and Transportation for the Tank Trailer and ISO Tank Container industry, has successfully completed the acquisition of Mainport Tankcleaning B.V., Mainport Tankcontainer Services Botlek B.V., and Mainport Tankcontainer Services Moerdijk B.V. The transaction was made with Matrans Holding B.V., based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

MTC, the acquired company, is a prominent tank cleaning and ISO tank container depot services business with locations in Botlek and Moerdijk. The acquisition of MTC offers Quala and Boasso Global an opportunity to expand its network in Europe and enhance its services in the crucial port area of Rotterdam.

Quala and Boasso Global’s CEO, Scott Harrison, expressed his excitement about the acquisition of MTC and the strategic value it brings to their operations. Eric van Halewijn, Managing Director of MTC, will be joining Quala and Boasso Global, ensuring a seamless transition and contributing to the talented operating team in Europe. Van Halewijn’s experience in managing and growing a complex depot in the tank container industry will be beneficial to Quala and Boasso Global in the future.

MTC in Botlek provides various ISO tank container services, including cleaning, storage, repair, maintenance, heating, and testing in the Port of Rotterdam and nearby areas. The Moerdijk location focuses on ISO tank container repair, maintenance, and testing.

With this acquisition, Quala and Boasso Global aims to offer unparalleled global service options to its customers by leveraging MTC’s expertise and integrating it into their extensive international network of tank container depots.
